Hey guys, this a call to arms, of sorts. I’m looking for a few folks who would like to be test subjects, if you will. I’m in need of some Beta readers for a set of stories I’m writing. I need people who are willing to read my stuff, for free, before anyone else has the opportunity. The downside, they may be a little rough, your job as a beta would be telling me what are the last few things I need to fix before I send the manuscript off to, Max, my editor. Point Blank to take submissions
I have been looking at a lot of publishing houses and companies and thinking about what I want to do with my writing, and with my partnership in Point Blank Comics. And I’ve decided that I’m really going to focus on trying to get an online team together to make these comics I’m writing and by expanding Point Blank Comics as a publishing house of webcomics, e-comics (publishing through apps like comixology) and print on demand comics. An Indie Press if you will.
I have experience in self publishing and I’ve got an idea and drive. I think it’s a gripping idea that will get artists excited. The main reason for this is a simple one, almost all comic book publishers are closed to everyone but teams at the moment and with the comic book genre is bouncing back I feel the companies out there can’t handle the influx of people looking to jump into the business.
And, the mission is simple, I want to help cultivate talent and hopefully get us all noticed by one of the big boys. I’ve already set up as a publishing company when I started self publishing a couple years ago, for tax and legal reasons, so why not bring people on as a team? I don’t see any reason to not do that.

Point Blank is looking for Artists
I have just finished the script for my latest 4 issue mini series. Worms is a horror story, a mix of Invasion of the Body Snatchers and Cabin Fever. It is set in the Ozark Mountains of Missouri and centers around Richard and his wife Mary Anne. Richard, a mountain guide is determined to get back to his wife before the Worms takes over their bodies.

Driver is the next installment in the Pine Bluff Mysteries series and is available at the end of the month, it is the latest from author Hughie Gibson.
Tommy Waters is a down on his luck ex-con when his cousin convinces him to drive the getaway car in a bank robbery, but this easy job turns deadly when his partners are murdered and their stolen money disappears. He is forced to drive for the man he stole from in order to find the money and discover who murdered his friends.

Who are Point Blank Comics
Hello, welcome to the Point Blank Comics website. I’m so glad you stopped by. Who are we? Well Point Blank Comics is the collaborative brain child of writer Hughie Gibson and artist Jeremiah Ray. Two guys with a love for all things noir. From the oldies like Double Indemnity to the modern or neo-noir like Sin City or Lucky Number Slevin.
At Point Blank Comics we are owner creators of noir graphic novels and comics. This is a new site that will be updated regularly with information on our latest projects and a weekly web comic that will published here for free. Check out our Merchandise page (a work in progress) where you can pick up my novels (I’ve wrote a couple), our graphic novels and comic series or if you would like there are t-shirts and other apparel along with stickers and some other fun stuff.
Here is a sneak peak at the protagonist for our current work in progress, “Brother’s Keeper”. It’s a graphic novel set in rural Missouri and is a Country Noir story about small town greed and revenge.
